Kurt Hugo Schneider

Kurt Hugo Schneider (born September 7, 1988) is an American video editor, musician, singer and songwriter, whose primary medium is YouTube music videos. He produces music videos for various YouTube musicians, such as Sam Tsui, including the musical medley videos in which Sam Tsui sings as a one-man choir.

Schneider grew up in Blue Bell, Pennsylvania, a suburb of Philadelphia, where he lived just a street away from Sam Tsui, whom he met while attending Wissahickon High School. He is of German and Austrian descent on his father's side. Kurt has an older sister who is a classical pianist. He graduated magna cum laude from Yale University in 2010 with a degree in mathematics and was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa.

Schneider began collaborating with Tsui while both were in high school and continued while they were at Yale; Schneider matriculated a year before. He produced videos of Tsui singing covers andmedleys, and has since made an online musical series (College Musical) and produced original songs. They first garnered media attention with a video of a Michael Jackson medley. This video remains the 5th most viewed (more than 31 million) on Schneider's YouTube channel KurtHugoSchneider, which has over 500 million total views and more than two million subscribers. This medley is one of several in which Schneider, using video editing, creates the illusion of a one-man a cappella choir, with Tsui covering lead and backing vocals, playing multiple versions of himself. Their medley videos have been described by Time as a combination of Glee and Attack of the Clones,. The viral videos led to a few appearances on national television, including The Oprah Winfrey Show and The Ellen DeGeneres Show. On February 3, 2011, Schneider's video of Tsui covering Hold It Against Me, in which Tsui sang and played the piano with Schneider on percussion, was featured on Britney Spears' official website.

The popularity of their videos has encouraged the duo to branch out to other projects. Shooting for an independent film, College Musical: The Movie, based upon their online musical series, has been completed in the summer of 2010 and the film is currently in post-production. A series of behind-the-scenes videos for the movie, filmed and narrated by Nick Uhas, has been released on YouTube. Since September 2010, Schneider and Tsui have also begun to release videos of original songs and in May 2013, Sam Tsui's debut original album, "Make It Up", was released.

Schneider has also made music videos in collaboration with other artists. Popular videos include a Miley Cyrus medley sung by Christina Grimmie, a duet between Tsui and Grimmie singing Just A Dream (the most viewed video on 'KurtHugoSchneider'), and a Starcraft-themed parody video, with Husky, of Baby. He has also recently parodied the infamous "Friday" known as "Void Rays". In addition he has collaborated with Tiffany Alvord on a Taylor Swift Medley and Matisse on a Medley of Rihanna songs. He has also collaborated with Max Schneider on a number of occasions. Most recently, he directed a Bruno Mars medley for Max Schneider & Victoria Justice as well as a Maroon 5 Medley. Recently, they have made a Christmas Medley as well. Schneider also co-wrote 'Standing In China' with Max Schneider for Cody Simpson's album Paradise. Schneider was also an associate producer for a musical admissions video for Yale, which features a cast consisting of Tsui and fellow Yale students.

Alex Goot

Alex Goot was born on March 15, 1988. He currently lives in Los Angeles, California, where he relocated in March 2013 from Poughkeepsie, New York. Alex is a one man band from Poughkeepsie, New York. He began messing around on the piano at age 5 when his parents bought a piano. He started to get serious about piano by the age of 12.

Alex performed his first gig when he was only 15 years old. He began recording music in 2004 at the age of 16. Alex soon gained quite a following after posting his songs on his MySpace website. In early 2010, Alex began posting videos of his covers of popular modern pop songs, and occasionally videos of his original songs . His popularity has continued to soar each time he posts a new video. Today, his videos have been watched over 30 million times, and is now considered one of the top cover artists on YouTube.

He was awarded Best Fan Cover in the MTV O Music Awards in 2011. He has also performed on the MTV Video Music Award post show, appeared on The Real World in seasons 20 and 21 and on True Life. He was selected to perform as a headliner artist in the 2011 DigiTour, traveling to 18 cities across the United States.

In 2013, he launched is own tour, "A Summer with Alex Goot and Friends" with Sam Tsui, Against the Current, Landin Austin, and Luke Conard in 32 cities across the U.S., many of which sold out well in advance of their shows. His concert fans have dubbed themselves the "Goot Troop."
